Marie E. Gillespie was born January 28, 1917 in Gentryville, Missouri to Willman T. and Mabel Edith (McMatt) Wooderson and passed away June 26, 2017 at the age of 100.

Marie was united in marriage to Wilmer Gillespie on January 6, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1981.

She was also preceded in death by her son Walter Gillespie, one brother and 5 sisters.

Marie was a homemaker and a member of the Albany First Baptist Church.

Survivors: son, Gary Gillespie, Albany; grandchildren, Scott, Joseph, Jenney, Andy and Tracy; 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Friday, June 30 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Rouse Cemetery, Darlington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Friday morning.
