Marietta J. Brown, 85 of Bethany, MO passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at a Bethany nursing home. Marietta, the daughter of Clarence and Alta (Anthony) Wilson was born October 19, 1927 in Albany, Missouri. Marietta married Max E. Brown. To this union, one son Larry was born. Larry preceded her in death on January 28, 1981 and Max on September 21, 1984. On November 15, 1996, Marietta married Marvin Coffey. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2012. Marietta worked as an office manager for Jefferson Lines before retiring. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Bethany. While living in Des Moines, Iowa, she was a member of Chapter GY of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. Survivors: sister, Rosalie Workman, King City; nephew, Craig (Jenny) Workman, King City; and other family members and friends. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 25 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, where friends may call anytime after 8:00 AM Wednesday morning at the chapel.
