Marion W. York, 90 of Albany, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Crestview Home in Bethany. Marion, the son of John Alexander and Awnza (Redmond) York, was born November 3, 1924 north of New Hampton, Missouri. On February 14, 1946, Marion was united in marriage to Henrietta Pearl Dickerson in Atchison, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 1, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son, John A. York, brother, John York and his sister, Evelyn Shepard. Marion was retired Marine Corps. For 20 years, Marion along with his twin brother Maurice drove cars for Pettijohns. He was a member of the Martinsville Christian Church. Survivors: son, Gary (Kathy) York, Paso Robles, CA; twin brother, Maurice (Rosalie) York, Albany; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Graveside Service and Burial: 2:00 PM Saturday, August 15 at the Carter Cemetery, New Hampton. There is no scheduled family visitation, however friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Saturday morning at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.
