Marjorie Garton Toombs 91 of Albany, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Albany, Missouri. Marjorie was born October 10, 1917 to Wade and Julia (Clouse) Wilson of Howard Township. She lived most of her life in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood near Albany, with her first husband Elmer Garton. They were married in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1981. She then married her second husband, Edwin Toombs in 1983. They lived several years in King City. He preceded her in death in 2000. Marjorie was a member of the Albany United Methodist Church. After 20 years of service, she retired from Farmer's Mutual Insurance Company in Albany. Marjorie was a longtime member of the P.E.O., B.P.W., Extension Club as well as other community organizations.
