Marvin Coffey, 87 of Bethany, Missouri and a former resident of Albany passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Veteran's hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Marvin, the son of Dewey Richard and Alice Edna (Quinn) Coffey was born September 2, 1925 in Gentry County, Missouri. His parents preceded him in death. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Marvin was a member of the Bethany American Legion Post #216 and the Immanuel Baptist Church of Bethany. During his career, Marvin served as a teacher, basketball coach and superintendent in Missouri and Colorado. On November 15, 1996, Marvin married Marietta Wilson. She survives of the home in Bethany. He is also survived by his son, Steve (Debra) Coffey, Loveland, CO; daughter, Deborah Tucker, Loveland, Colorado; brother, Garnett (Charlene) Coffey; sisters, Norma Deason; Jessie (Jerald) Manring all of Albany; Marjorie (Richard) Dale, Bethany; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
