Merlin Lee McCampbell, 83 of Albany passed away, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at an Albany nursing home. Merlin, the son of Ruben and Ethel May (Gabriel) McCampbell was born May 11, 1928 in Gentry, Missouri. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin, Bob, Billy and Charles McCampbell and a sister, Gail Welshire. On December 7, 1957, Merlin was united in marriage to Rosella Mathews in San Diego, California. Merlin was a Korean Army Veteran and a member of the Albany American Legion Post #106. He was a farmer and a dozer operator.
