Merlin (Merle) Ross Yeager, 83, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Savannah, Missouri. He was born July 1, 1941 in Waverly, Kansas to Roy and Maxine (Baker) Yeager, he was the eldest of three sons. He married Martha King on November 10, 1966.
Merle worked for the Kansas City Star before transitioning to ministry, graduating from Whites Ferry Road School of preaching. After graduating, he moved to Albany and Forsythe, Missouri to fulfill his calling. Merle became ill with Alzheimer's and moved back to Albany to be closer to his family.
Merle is survived by his son, Brian (Jan) Yeager; daughter, Diana Lane, grandchildren, Maisie (Melissa) Yeager; Bobby Jr (Christy) Goble and Adrienne (Levi) Teel; six great grandchildren; brother Dean (Sveta) Yeager; aunt, Bonnie Brooks; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Merle was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack, sister-in-law, Aecha, son-in-law Will Lane and great grandson Camaron Goble.
