Mildred D. Green, 99, long time resident of Albany, passed away Saturday morning, August 4th, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital at Carrollton, MO.   Mildred lived 97 years at Albany prior to her move to the Carroll House care facility at Carrollton.

Mildred was born on September 19, 1918 in Gentry County, the daughter of George and Myrtle (Carter) Parman. She was united in marriage to Donald R. Green on September 6, 1940.

Mildred is survived by one child, Parman (Linda) Green, Carrollton, MO; two grandchildren, Melissa (Todd) Steele, and Chuck (Jill) Cottrill, granddaughter-in-law, Brenda Cottrill, all of Albany, MO; seven great-grandchildren and four (soon to be five) great-great grandchildren, son-in-law, Vancil Silkett, St. Joseph; two step-grandchildren and three step-great- grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild; special niece, Nina Musick and several nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Glenna, son-in-law Charles Cottrill; three sisters: Helen Williams, Neola Goodvin, and Wilma Musick; and grandson David Cottrill.

She was a member of the Albany First Christian Church. Many people will remember Mildred for her pleasant-nature, smile, quick-step, great food, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Mildred believed it more important to give flowers to the living than the dead, so in her honor, please give someone flowers and words of appreciation.
