Muriel Maxine Yetter, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, Missouri at the age of 96 years and one month. Muriel had resided at Sunnyview for the past 11 years. Muriel Maxine was born July 29, 1919 along with her twin brother, Marion Marshall, to parents Jess and Delphia (Bratcher) Hamilton in Albany, Missouri. She graduated from Albany High School in May of 1939. Muriel was united in marriage in May of 1943 to Charles Max Stevens, in Lawton, Oklahoma. To this union two daughters were born, Donna Lee and Sharon Kay. Charles Max preceded her in death in June of 1965. In December of 1969, Muriel was united in marriage to Guy (Shorty) Yetter. "Shorty" preceded her in death in January of 1978. Muriel was employed many years at the Gentry County Memorial Hospital as a cook. She enjoyed bowling and many trips to state tournaments. She also loved playing bingo and card games. Muriel was a talented artist and enjoyed many hours of creating oil paintings. One of her favorite activities was having grandkids visit, entertaining family members and will be remembered for her cooking skills. She also will be remembered to devoting many hours to elderly friends who needed assistance. Survivors: daughters, Donna (Gary) Wilson, Trenton, MO; Sharon Toombs, Bethany, MO; grandchildren, Kandi (Cliff) Chaney, Lincoln, NE; Tim (Christin) Toombs, Indianola, IA; Ragen (Cheryl) Toombs, Gilman City, MO; great-grandchildren, Austin, Price and Tyler Wilson, Omaha, NE; Makenna and Jake Hudson, Connor Chaney, Lincoln, NE; Jill (Steve) Whitson, Indianola, IA; Makayla, Bailey and Dawson Toombs, Gilman City, MO; great-great-grandchildren, Eden, Stella and Baya Whitson, Indianola, IA. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Gary Toombs, grandson, G. Kent Wilson, brother, Marion, sisters, Addie Thompson and Margaret Hamilton. Graveside Service and Burial: 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19 at the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.
