Nancy May Guthrie, 71 of Denver, Missouri and a former resident of Le Sueur, Minnesota passed away Monday, December 14, 2009 at a St. Joseph, Missouri hospital. Nancy, the daughter of Henry and May (Ridd) Brenke was born February 8, 1938 in Le Sueur, Minnesota. On July 1, 1960, Nancy was united in marriage to Gary D. Guthrie. Gary survives of the home in Denver, Missouri. She is also survived by her daughter Jane (George) Guthrie Phipps, Belle Plaine, MN; sons Dean (Kelly) Guthrie, Ypsilanti, Michigan; Dallas (Brenda) Guthrie, Overland Park, KS; Grandchildren, Cecelia Guthrie, Jake Guthrie, Josh Phipps, Dillon Phipps, Bailey Phipps and Sadie Murdock; sisters, Florence Gordon; Elsie Robinson; sisters-in-law, Elfa Brenke, Eleche Jones; and a brother-in-law, Mitchell McCarl. Nancy was a homemaker. She worked as a bookkeeper for Guthrie Electric in Le Sueur and after she moved to Denver she worked as an assistant Librarian for the Carnegie Public Library in Albany. She was a member of the Albany First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Edith Guthrie; father-in-law, Charles Guthrie; sister, Marcell Schmid; brother Lester (Bud) Brenke; sisters-in-law Karen McCarl and Twyla Hudson; brothers-in-law, Stan Robinson, Joe Schmid and Darrel Jones.
