Nellie Stooksbury, 76 of Maysville and a former resident of Albany, passed away on Sunday March 25, 2012 at her home. Nellie, the daughter of Milburn B. and Dixie Darlene (Merriman) Kelley was born March 26, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri. On December 31, 1952, Nellie was united in marriage to Rowland Orion Stooksbury. He preceded her in death March 7, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jason Rowland Stahl and two sisters. For several years, she worked as the dietary manager for Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville. She was a member of the Fairport Baptist Church. Survivors: Daughters, Connie (Lavern) Preston, Albany; Darlene (Hank) Stahl, Maysville; Betty (Larry) Sorensen, Albany; Sons, Milburn "Lucky" (April) Stooksbury, Emporia, KS; Ron (Peggy) Stooksbury, Albany; 14 Grandchildren; 16 Great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
