Nina Jean Westerfield, 81, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Bethany Care Center in Bethany, Missouri.

Nina was born May 28, 1935 to Jay and Ruth (Banie) Gillespie.

In 1959, she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and later to San Diego, California, where she married her husband Wiley Westerfield. They adopted a son Robert Eugene in 1968.

Nina and her husband Wiley ran a printing company in San Diego. After her husband and son passed away, she moved back to Albany, Missouri in 2007 to be near her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two step-sons, Steven and Wiley; brother, J.C. Gillespie; sister, Velda Waldeier; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 3 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Harrison County Hospice in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402. Burial will be in San Diego, California.
