Norma Ruth (Coffey) Deason, 96, of Albany, Missouri, passed away July 9, 2023 at her home.

Norma, the daughter of Dewey R. and Alice E. (Quinn) Coffey was born May 4, 1927 in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Albany High School, class of 1945.

On July 26, 1945, Norma was united in marriage to Franklin W. Deason. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marvin Coffey.

Survivors: two sons, Kim Deason, Albany, MO; Brant (Lana) Deason, Lee's Summit, MO; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Nathan, Emily, Demet, Brittaney and Kayla; 11 great-grandchildren, Haven, Hailee, Chloe, Emerson, Elliott, Everlee, Mackenzie, Julia, Asher, Elliot, Wyatt; sisters, Jessie Manring, Albany; Marjorie Dale, Bethany; brother, Garnett (Charlene) Coffey, Albany.

Norma worked for Old American Insurance for 11 years, then the Albany School System as librarian for 26 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church.

Graveside Service and Burial: 12:00 (Noon) Friday, July 14 at the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service on Friday at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Friends may call anytime after 10:00 AM on Friday.
