Norma Rae (Plummer) Bush 1929-2024 (94 years)
Norma Rae Plummer was born on August 9, 1929, to LeRoy and Thelma Plummer of Independence, Missouri. She was the only child born to parents that were only children as well. She graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri. On October 3, 1948, she married Ralph M. Bush who preceded her in death on Wednesday, August 20, 1997. She lived in Independence, Missouri until moving to Albany, Missouri in 1976. During her adult life, she worked full-time as a homemaker and ironed clothes for several clients in Albany for many years. She also held several jobs including work in an Insurance Agency in Kansas City, and as a substitute librarian at the public library in Albany. She loved to watch many sports, do her artwork, tend to her plants, play dominoes, feed and care for her birds, and keep track of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Stuart Bush, a daughter, Lauren Rae Bush, and a grandson, Jeremiah Bush.
Survivors include son John Bush, and wife Lisa (Lawson), son, Dan Bush (Albany) of the home, Granddaughter Tabitha Meyer and husband Philip (Fairway, Kansas), and all the great-grandkids; Karen Grace Bush, Lauren Rae Bush, Lucy Josephine Meyer, John Theodore "Teddy" Meyer, and Camilla Ruth "Milly" Meyer.
Graveside Service and Burial: 12:00 (Noon) Saturday, April 13 at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM on Friday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Worth County Convalescent Center in Grant City or to Mosaic Life Care Hospice. Online Condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com
