Opal Jean Lundy, 97, of New Hampton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab in Gallatin, Missouri. Opal Jean, the daughter of Giles and Opal (Lemke) Hawley was born May 31, 1921 in Kellogg, Iowa.

On September 13, 1938, she was united in marriage to Steven D. Lundy. He preceded her in death October 26, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Jimmy David Lundy and son-in-law, Wayne Zimmerman.

Opal Jean was a member of the New Hampton United Methodist Church and Bethany Chapter #23 Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors: daughter, Betty Zimmerman, Gallatin, MO; grandchildren, Steven Zimmerman, Melinda Yarnell and Shelley Estes; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Ashlynn Yarnell, Andrew and Alexis Estes; brother, Fred Hawley, Englewood, CO.
