Obituary

Paul M. Angle, 84, of Albany , Missouri and a former resident of Stanberry , Missouri , passed away, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center in Albany .

Paul, the son of Lawrence and Letah (Edson) Angle was born June 6, 1932 in Stanberry.

On March 16, 1956, Paul married Orinda Darlene Temple. To this union two sons Ed and Steve were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darlene, January 16, 1960, six brothers, one sister and a step daughter.

Paul married Verna Chapman, they later divorced. Paul and Betty Murray were married November 20, 1981.

Survivors: wife, Betty of the home; sons, Ed (Cynthia) Angle; Steve (Barb) Angle, both of Albany; two step-daughters, Ruthann (Marvin) Morrison, Savannah, MO; Lisa (Scott) Pettet, Lee's Summit, MO; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Paul, a United States Army Veteran served in the Korean War. During that time he was stationed in Japan . He was a member of the Raymond Sager American Legion Post #260 of Stanberry, where he also received the Raymond Sager Award.

While living in Stanberry, Paul worked for Paul Daniels, served as City Marshall and the Chief of Police, owned and operated Angle T.V. and Refrigeration and served as a Gentry County Deputy Sherriff, was instrumental in getting the Stanberry Ambulance Service and worked as one of their first EMTs.

Paul moved to Albany . He served as Gentry County Sherriff for 8 years and was a member of the Missouri Sherriff's Association. After serving as Sherriff, he worked in maintenance for Pine View and owned and operated Angle Electronics out of his home.

There was not much he couldn't make or fix. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and watching the bird and squirrels and loved roses.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany . Burial with Military Rites will be in the High Ridge Cemetery , Stanberry. The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 PM Friday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM Friday.
