Phyllis Anola (Lane) Lewis, 82, of St. Joseph and a former resident of Albany, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 in St. Joseph.

Phyllis was born June 29, 1934 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the daughter of James Mattason and Nellie Elizabeth (Runyan) Lane.

On October 18, 1951, she was united in marriage to Reverend Gerald R. Lewis. He preceded her in death March 3, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Garry and Phillip Lewis and a brother, Harold Lane.

Phyllis was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church of Denver.

Survivors: daughter, Garrol Ann Grindstaff, St. Joseph; son, Timothy (Cleoda) Lewis, Shawnee, KS; grandchildren, Amber (Darren) Jacobson, Timothy Ryan Lewis, Sean (Rachel) Pulatie, Kelly Pulatie; 2 step granddaughters and one step great grandson.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Thursday, February 2 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Lone Star Cemetery, Denver, MO.
