Richard Wayne
(Rich) Ross
Sep 25, 1968 — Mar 7, 2025
Richard Wayne (Rich) Ross completed his earthly journey on March 7, 2025 at his home with his family gathered around him.
Rich was born September 25, 1968 in Albany, Missouri to Charles Richard Ross and Marcia (Ashlock) Ross. He spent nearly his entire life in the St. Louis area. He graduated from South County Tech with a specialty in auto mechanics and auto body. He worked as a truck driver for several years for his Uncle Bill Ross before moving on to the carpentry trade. Rich worked his way up in the company to Project Manager for home construction and remodeling.
In 1989 Rich married the love of his life, Julie. They had two beautiful daughters, Courtney, and Katelyn. Family was everything to Rich. He always put his family first in everything. From tea parties with his daughters to highly competitive board games on family nights. From father and daughter dances to teaching his daughters to drive. The family loved their weekends camping at the lake and boating, backyard barbeques, but most of all, time spent together as a family.
After the death of his wife in 2022, Rich took time off to heal and to determine where he wanted to be and that was back to the family home. At the time he moved back in 2023, he did not know how ill he really was and how short his time would be. Rich loved being with his mom and on the farm where he spent so much time with his grandpa and grandma Ashlock.
Rich was preceded in death by his dad, Richard Ross, his wife, Julie Ross, and his brother Chad Ross.
He is survived by his two daughters, Courtney (Jon) and Katelyn (Travis), a brother, Kris (Danita) of Fenton, MO, sisters, Sherry (Nick) Trayanoff of Fenton, MO, Dana (Jim) Long, St. Joseph, MO, and his mother, Marcia Ross of the home west of Gentryville, MO, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Missing Rich very much is his fur baby Diesel.
A private family farewell will be held at a later date. Online Condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com
