Robert F. Crockett, 88, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry.

He was born August 24, 1931 to Oliver and Stella (Kier) Crockett in Albany, Missouri.

Bob graduated from Albany RIII High School, attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, receiving his Bachelor of Science in 1957 and Master's Degree in 1963. During his time in the education field, he was awarded the Missouri State Teacher's Association Outstanding Leadership award in 1977. Bob taught for 31 ½ years before retiring.

In 1996, he was appointed by Governor Carnahan as the Gentry County Emergency Management Director. He received the State Emergency Management Agency Distinguished Service Award in 2000.

On June 8, 1963, he married Janice Sue Shively. She preceded him in death November 22, 2014.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother Eldon Crockett, sisters Velma Holstein, Ruth Bishop and Arlene Ball.

Survivors: daughter, Julie; sister, Nadyne Parman; brothers, Olen and Ralph Crockett.

Bob spent most of his life in the Albany area, where he liked to play golf and drive fast cars.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. The body will be cremated following the service with inurnment in the Grandview Cemetery at a later date. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call anytime after 8:00 AM on Thursday at the chapel.
