Obituary

On January 11, 1958, a son was born to Roger and Kathryn (Sharp) Anthony, they named him Roger Dale. He was also called Dad, Grandpa, Pops, Honey and other names.

He worked many jobs from trash collector, to selling Amway, working with Shorty Willis at the cap factory which is another story all together. He worked for Energizer Battery as the fix it man, not only machines, but ladies finger nails when they broke them.  He did this for 25 years, yep that's a lot of nails.  He spent 6 years or so being a nursery supervisor at New Dominion Hog Farms and then Maschhoffs, where he had to retire, being unable to do his job due to his eyesight.  Then if that wasn't enough kidney failure took over his body.  For 5 years and 4 months he endured dialysis three times a week.

His biggest love was being a grandpa. This spring he took his grandson Jay turkey hunting, no turkey but lots of memories.  He also got to go fishing this spring and took Jay and TJ what fun he had.  He also enjoyed hunting deer with his sons.  What stories they could tell you about those trips.  He did bird hunt a little until there wasn't anymore birds and dogs.  He had coyote dogs that he took out and spent weekends hunting with several people.  He also enjoyed watching grandkids play ball.  Due to health he didn't get to go much but when he didn't go he waited on those phone calls to say grandpa I got a two base run tonight and a RBI.  He also had a love for horses.  There was always a horse on the farm and still is.  He also had a love for the Cardinals baseball team.  That was great excitement for him to go to St. Louis to watch them play.  He was also a fan of the Green Bay Packers and he loved to dance.

July 6, 2017 he was called home. He left behind his wife Linda, children Stefanie, JR, Codi and Dale, Brutus and Cinderella, grandchildren, Wynona, Jay, Erica, TJ, Jordyan, Lexa, Xander, Isisah, Tyrell, Finnlee and Frankie, mother, Kathryn Anthony, grandmother, Anna Belle Sharp, brothers, Ronnie, Larry, Gerald, sisters, Kathy, Karen, lots of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and lots of friends.

He joins his dad Roger and grandparents, Homer Sharp and Eldon and Millie Anthony.
