Ronald Arkle, 84, of New Hampton, Missouri, passed away August 11, 2021, at his home in New Hampton.

Ronald was born to Roy and Maude (Haymaker) Arkle on June 6, 1937, on a farm north of Bethany. He attended Lorraine County School for 8 years before moving on to graduate from Bethany High School. He then attended the University of Missouri, majoring in Soil Conservation.

Ronald met the love of his life, Ruth Ann Hillman in 1958. They were united in marriage on July 26, 1958, in New Hampton. To this union two children were born, Alan and Rhonda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Maude Arkle, brothers Dean Arkle and Leland Arkle, and grandson Jeffery Luther.

Survivors include wife, Ruth Ann Arkle, of the home; son Alan Arkle, New Hampton; daughter Rhonda (Jerry) Luther, New Hampton; granddaughter Jennifer (Herb) Menneke; great granddaughter Paige Menneke; and sister Marjorie Callaway.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, August 13 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.  Friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM Friday at the chapel.  A graveside service and burial will be at 10:00AM Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, MO.
