Roxie B. McManus, 76 of Albany and a former resident of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at an Albany hospital. Roxie, the daughter of Charles and Augusta (Wilcox) O'Banion was born November 15, 1932 in Conception Jct., Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Virgle and Vern O'Banion, sisters, Marie O'Banion, Pearl Jones, Florence (B.B.) Sybert and Ellen Cooper. On June 7, 1949, Roxie was united in marriage to George McManus. He survives of the home. She is also survived by sons, Ed (Joy) McManus, Urbandale, IA; Steve McManus, Newton, IA; Tim (Janice) McManus, North Lake, IL; Daughter, Georgene (Junior) Powell, Albany; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Roxie was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church of Stanberry and a former member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Bethany and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
