Timothy J. Snead, 48 of Albany passed away Friday, December 11, 2009. Tim, the son of Thomas Jefferson and June Rose (Barger) Snead was born February 27, 1961 in Fort Benning, Georgia. His father preceded him in death on November 8, 2009. Tim looked to his father as his hero. At an early age, Tim gave his life to the Lord. He was presently a member of the First Christian Church of Albany. While growing up, Tim traveled with his family many times across the United States. He attended Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Virginia and graduated from Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, Virginia. Tim worked as a welder for Schindler Elevator Company in Virginia and for York International in Albany before retiring from his working career. Tim's free time was spent hunting and traveling. For the last few years, Tim devoted his time and love to his parents. Survivors include his mother June Snead of Albany; sisters Teresa Snead, Albany; Terean Snead, Manassas, VA; brothers Terent (Janice) Snead, Midlothian, VA; Tracy (Carol) Snead, Leesburg, VA; Aunt Sarah (Dean) Sissel, New Hampton, MO; Cousins Tom (Anita) Allen, King City; Terry (Norma) Allen, Bethany; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. Tim will be most missed by his ever faithful companion Bucky.
