Virginia Louise (Spainhower) Clark, 100, of Albany, MO went home to the lord peacefully on June 9, 2026, at The Bungalows at Branson Meadows Assisted Living facility, Branson, MO surrounded by the love of her family.
Virgina was born on August 9, 1925, in Albany, MO to her parents Herschel Marion and Ella Lorraine (Stark) Spainhower. On February 21, 1945, Virginia married the love of her life, Roy Eugene Clark. They shared 76 wonderful years of marriage, building a life together filled with love, family, and many cherished memories until his passing on January 15, 2022.
Virginia dedicated more than 30 years of service to Old American Insurance, where she worked as a sorting clerk. Virginia was a faithful member of the First Christian Church, where she served as a deacon and was actively involved in Women's Fellowship, serving as secretary. Virginia was a member of the Mother's Club, Athena Club, Old American-Century Club, Red Hat Ladies in Texas, and was a co-founder of Business and Professional Women. Through Business and Professional Women, she helped establish the Girl of the Month program, recognizing and encouraging young women in the community.
Virginia enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting, shopping, playing bridge, traveling to Texas with Roy, and spending time with her family. She was blessed to witness five generations of her family, including 12 fifth-generation descendants.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Connie S. Daly; sister-in-law, Mary Lue Clark; two grandchildren, James (Gina) Funk and Susan (Roger) Horsman; five great-grandchildren, Rachel Jeffrey, Tyler (Kaitlyn) Funk, Madison (Taylor) Buerky, Austen Porter, and Sarah (Michael) Thompson; and six great-great-grandchildren, Kinslee and Addison Jeffrey, Benny and Blair Buerky, and Eleanor and Noah Thompson; and niece Gail (Bob) Hoddick, and nephew Bill (Amy) Adams.
Friends and family are invited to attend the graveside services at 11:00 am Monday, August, 3rd, 2026 at the Grandview Cemetery, Albany, MO. Casual dress is encouraged. A light lunch will be provided by the Methodist Church for family and friends in attendance after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in care of Virginia Clark can be sent to the: Alzheimer's Association
