Ellis
Apr 15, 1936 — Apr 22, 2026
Wanda Lou Ellis, 90, of Albany, Missouri passed away on April 22, 2026, at Pine View Manor in Stanberry, Missouri. She was born April 15, 1936, in Chrisman, Illinois, and was the daughter of Webb and Shiloh Conner. Wanda spent her childhood years in Chrisman, Illinois, and moved to Missouri in 1957, living in Riverside, Smithville and remaining years in Albany.
Wanda loved God and always felt blessed no matter her circumstances. She was raised in Logan Methodist Church in Illinois and she was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Albany. She attended Albany Baptist Church, rarely missing a Sunday or an event, and made many friends who she adored.
Wanda worked hard many years for all of her employers in Albany spending 12 years at Rival Manufacturing and as caretaker at Eastridge Apartments for 11 years. She then went on to her most favorite and famous job, delighting customers at Casey's for 30 years making bakery foods. Everyone loved her smile and donuts!
She worked hard to provide for her six children, which she loved deeply, Greg Travis (Kathy) of Savannah, Richard Travis (preceded in death), Sandra Travis of Agency, Jimmie Ellis of Hiawatha, Kansas, Jon Ellis of Oakland Park, Florida, and Jeffrey Ellis (Carla) of Gentry. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She also mentions her good friend Judy Herndon who supported her through all her years in Albany.
Wanda loved sports and got to yell and scream for her grandkids at many sports events.
