Wesley served in the United States Army during Vietnam where he was trained as a Medic.  On November 11, 1997, Wesley and Debra L. Buntin were united in marriage at Albany, Missouri.  He was a member of DAV and Albany Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Debra; four brothers & sisters, Gladys Lininger, Donald Burton, Robert Burton, and Jimmy Burton.

Survivors include two children, Jonathan and Leeanna Burton; three step-children, Jason Redmond, Bradley Redmond, and Amy Cassidy; eight brothers and sisters, Louise Moad, Betty Walker, Sharon Dahl, Barbara King, Elizabeth Butterfield, Marion Burton, Charles Burton, and Harold Burton; numerous grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Roberson-Polley Chapel of Albany with burial in Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation: 1:00 to 3:00 p.m Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial Contributions:  Disabled American Veterans.  Online condolences: Roberson-Polley Chapel
