Willard C. Straight, 75 of Albany, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at a Milan, Missouri hospital. Willard, the son of Noble and Mardell (Matheny) Straight was born July 29, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa. His father preceded him in death. On December 29, 1972, Willard was united in marriage to Betty Findley. Willard was a carpenter. He had worked for Dalbey Lumber Company in Grant City and Albany and for Hogue Lumber in Albany. Willard enjoyed fishing and gardening. Survivors: wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Taira (Brad) Emerson, Albany; mother, Mardell Straight, Albany; brother, Leroy Straight, LaMirada, CA; sister, Jennia Mosier, Victorville, CA; grandchildren, Kole and Kyle Emerson and other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughters, Pam Kent, Mesa, AZ; Karen Tift, Nebraska City, NE; sons, Mike Straight, Nebraska City, NE; Billy Straight, Grant City; uncle, Ron Matheny and other aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and other family members. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 4 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.
